Anyway, closer to the original topic, I wouldn't be surprised that if Pentax does decide to introduce a mirrorless MF camera, they do so with a kick-ass, best-in-class EVF.
Electronic viewfinders come from third parties, most notably Seiko-Epson. The current best-in-class e-viewfinder is the 4.4 million dot 'Ultimicron' used by Leica in their SL model. It was presented in early 2015 and went into mass production in December 2015.

?????????????????ULTIMICRON???????????2015?12?9?? | ???????? | ????? | ????

We could/should see some new prototype viewfinders at Photokina.

MF mirrorless is a possibility but, IMO, not replacing (unless needed) the current line.
They have too much to lose.

Although I would not be very surprised to see a cropped MF mirrorless (current 645 digital crop) or fixed lens a la GR but applied to big sensor. That would be awesome

Hasn't this been a Fuji rumor for a couple years now? It would cool if Pentax beat them to it.

Wow. I wonder what the pricing differential between that and the 2.4m unit (like in the Sony A7r II) is...

There was a rumor a while back about Fuji and Pentax working on some kind of J.V.

Lenses with a leaf shutter are still missing in the lineup.

Well, if it happens....

All Pentax needs to do is resurrect and modernize (HD AF WR for 645) the 600mm F4 and 800mm F5.6 or 6, and we won't need another camera for 10 years...

in a few hours Hasselblad will take the worlds first for mirrorless MF and rumours say that for a very reasonable price competing with 645Z... will Ricoh react quickly enough? Or will we see some serious limitations on the Hasselblad product?

It seems to me this system is limited by size of sensor like Leica S.

Pentax is not a quick player they will wait for the competitor to release like 5 generations before making one

645z is 51Mp already so it's a lot bigger than the Leica's sensor for a fraction of the price
