That is if you are quoting selectively. You missed this bit about edge sharpness on FF ...

... and this general conclusion:
Quote: To sum up: while looking at the small front element of the Irix I doubted whether that lens would manage to beat the excellent and huge Samyang 2.8/14 when it comes to resolution. The results it got in our test were a very nice surprise, though. The Irix performs better on the edge of the APS-C/DX sensor than I expected and the further away from your target you go, the more the resolution increases. I do not hesitate to say that, at working distances typical for this kind of instrument, the lens is able to generate outstanding resolution values.

The lenshood doesn't help at all. So you can't make any landscape pictures with the sun in it, or the sun at the side of yours.
And how is the Samyang doing on that front? Not that great.
Quote: Sure, the distortion is smaller, CA aren't that much of a problem, but those are things which can be easily corrected afterwards.
The Samyang is famous for its funny moustache distortion which actually isn't easy to correct.
Quote: And sure, Irix features are much better, but i said if you compare only the optics of the Samyang to the Irix, the Samyang wins.
To me it still looks like a draw.
