Is that a new tele lens?

C'mon guys, my brother shot,back in the days, basket ball with manual focus Tamron 70-210/3.5-4 macro 1:2 (yeah, that huge focus throw) on 500 iso b&w film with flash.

/5.6 too hard to manage with our current iso possibilities ? Can't believe that...

with flash. That does change the equation. with the 5.6 lens probably three stops.

And our sensors or not at least 3 stops better performers than film of those times?
