As I mentioned somewhere else, I don't see FF as a necessity.
But if there will be no FF, then the APS-C lineup should be competitive, so there should be a tilt-shift lens at least.

Just my thought.

I agree, fortunately Pentax does IMO quite good in providing a complete system. They are not there yet but they do quite well given their ressources.

Also agree, mate.

That Pentax had a "normal" for APS-C (31 1.8 ltd.) and the dedication to give a complete line of APS-C lenses was one reason for me to join the camp. I am glad that they continue with the 15 ltd. and so on.

My only concern is, that now they are mainly heading for the entry level market, which could mean not good news for special purpose lenses.

However, hopefully I am too pessimistic ;-)

I hope you didn't bet too much on that, Ben

Greetings from October. Thanks for getting my hopes up.

I am betting on a FF Pentax in September....Not a lot of money but I have this sixth sense about these sorts of things and my intuition says between 24-28 mega pixels. Under 3k and 100 to 6400 iso. Three to Five FPS...........

Exactly...Thanks for your backing. I never said what FF stood for. It means "Fabulous Fashion" and I was right. There were some pretty "Fabulous Fashion's" that came out in September. So I WON!!!! Yipppppeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Ben, all excuses are equal!

How about a more likely prediction, a 645D sometime next year??

I hope that 645D really does come out. Nikon might just possibly release an MF DSLR (or an FF DSLR with a higher pixel count):

Link to article about Nikon's announcement

And it's even slated to be announced at a WPPI convention, so it's definitely a uber-MP machine.

Mainly heading for the entry level market?
Ah, that was the reason for the DA 35 Limited Macro and the 200 and 300 DA Star's released earlier this year, and the coming DA Star 55 f/1.4, DA Star 30 and 15 Limited.
Entry level lenses for entry level cameras, sure...
