I have new information. FF will be very soon. 645D will be too. A bit later.

Very soon should be september at the latest. The idea of Pentax releasing a pro APS DSLR, a pro FF camera and the 645D (and of course the entry level model) within a short timespan, seem somewhat far fetched to me .
Or it could be that the Pro APS and the FF are more or less the same body
Anyway, I still believe that a pro APS camera at this juncture just cannibalize sales....:ugh:....that is, if it isn't a K20D replacement

I suspect the K20D was the interim model ....It is largely based on the K10D but with the new sensor. I skipped the K20D in the hope that a higher specked model would be introduced, I would be quite happy if it retained the same sensor.

I am sure that they need that higher specked model ...something in the same league as Nikon's D300. While you may argue that the K20D competes, it may in IQ but not in technical spec's and Pentax need to show that they are in the game. To my thinking that (a D300 class model) would be more important than introducing a FF camera in terms of establishing the market share they are seeking.

A solution could be after upgrading the K20D as above into the K30D, then moving the 14,6mp sensor into the K200D (K300D?). Theres room for this when the entry level model (K2000D?) hit the market with the 10mp sensor. If this scenario is correct, the K30D could provide a building block for the FF model (or vice versa) making both more viable...

Some rumors I heard from a sibling from Germany, working inside the Photokina '08 deployment staff: Pentax demanded some "special" preparations and facilities for some "special" launching events. They (Hoya/Pentax) are suppose to emerge with some "heavy" novelty. No other details they disclosed.
Time will tell, I can't wait for!

K20D's replacement will not be this year. It will be at the end of 2009.

I heard information from the person which very close to Pentax Germany -
Hoya/pentax plan to offer 645D, FF and low-end model.
As for real dates of releases - I don't know. Maybe they just show this products and will make only in the beggining of 2009. But, it's not bad scenario.

This sort of explains Nostradamus...eh....Wendys latest prophesies. She is talking about two cameras, not one "hybrid" K-mount/645 body....
