Good news!
The Traveling K1000 has arrived, in tip-top shape, thanks to Eric.

I asked Eric to do a couple extra things besides fix up the camera for the journey. I asked him to be photographer #1! Below are (poor) scans of some prints he sent back with the camera from Gatlinburg, TN.
Also, as part of the journey, I thought it would be cool if we each left a sticker or something just to show where the camera has been. I asked Eric to do the same, only a bit more permanently... I asked him to engrave his autograph on the baseplate, and he did! I didn't photograph it, so you can each see it for yourself when the camera comes your way. It's quite elegant.
Eric also tossed in a nice leather strap to go with the everready case that I'm going to send with the camera. Also, don't forget there will be the M50/1.7 that monochrome donated (but you're not obligated to use, of course), and ten rolls of expired B/W film, which you're also welcome to use.
I just bought some Fuji Superia at the drugstore today, so I'll put in a roll and run around town this weekend and get some photos taken. After that, monochrome, it's coming your way!
So, without further adieu, here are Eric's photos from Gatlinburg!
