D-FA 100-300mm f/4

I'm usually trying not to start new threads but I've been waiting two days for somebody to react and nothing happened.
So, ok, we have new Ricoh patent 2016-80717 for a FF lens which is not in a lens map.

100-300 f4 would be very nice. It looks like a new design too. Although if it was a licensed clone of the Sigma 100-300 f4 that wouldn't be bad. That's a great lens.

A small, light (and cheapish) D FA 70-200 f4 would also be a good project for Pentax to take on (very much like Nikon/Canon have done).

Pentax used to have two FA series lenses in this focal length range, although those were 4.5-5.6 and 4.7-5.8

This would be between half a stop to one and a bit stops faster at all focal lengths, depending on which predecessor you're comparing it to - which some people might not mind carrying the weight around for. Evidently intended to complement the 28-105.

This is high-end stuff: constant aperture, internal focusing, internal zooming.

If zoom the constant aperture in my book. I agree with the well-performing part
