Two mirrorless formats FAKE please disregard.

Do please delete this = I couldn't tell the difference between kenspo/0's.
I should have asked for I.D.

"Q; Do you know any lens mount détails?
It's a new, electronic mount. I don't know more." Maybe just mockups at Photokina - Re: Pentax is back.: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

To add what kenspo0 wrote in the Ricoh forum, because some people may go off on a tangent:
"Thinking about it, they didn't tell me they would show new models ready for launch at Photokina. It could be prototypes or even mockups like the K-1 last year." Re: Ricoh (possibly) entering the mirrorless market by 2018: Ricoh Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

"Q about flange distance? Re: Ricoh (possibly) entering the mirrorless market by 2018: Ricoh Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review
It's a new, electronic mount. I wasn't told more. I presume it has a shorter flange distance."

I'm guessing mockups, not completed bodies and lenses to show - If they decide to go through and announce it at all. Don't forget, Pentax takes it's time with things!

Imagine, two new mirrorless lines, apsc and ff and lenses for the two new additional formats, what an undertaking... has Ricoh hired a complete mirrorless unit, or are they divvying things up?
Wow, Pentax is really going places :0)

Since PF tends to go on forever with the longest threads - near impossible to keep up with for the nuggets if you only pop in once in a while (moi), try not to go too bat stupid crazy with this ;0P

Matter of fact, if there were some way to make those nuggets to stick out to catch up easily on the super long threads, wouldn't that be special?

Me too ... but only once. However, I have the excuse that I've just flown from Melbourne to LA and am very tired. Was a shock though.

Pentax won't be making only DSLRs in the future.

That should be making the point clearly enough

I don't have much interest in a FF DSLR, but I am very interested in a FF MILC. Whatever else I buy, I will maintain an APS-C DSLR.

If true, I'd guess this news/rumour is indirect confirmation that Canon and Nikon will be doing exactly the same over the next 12-18 months.

Short flange distance or no short flange distance, they'd be stupid not to include some way of servicing and mounting K-mount lenses. Perhaps a short adapter that ships with the camera?

Get that flange distance down far enough and they could make an adapter with enough internal room to work SMC Takumar lenses...

So long as Pentax keep making DLSR's, specifically the K-3 and K-1 line. I'm keen to see a K-3 Mark 3 with A6300-like AF ability. Not overly keen on mirrorless although if they can get focus peaking into an OVF, that would be ideal.

I find it kind of suspicious that Kenspo would have especially made a dpreview account to drop this bomb and say noting about it over here. I smell a rat. Maybe this is a fake Kenspo.

Considering Pentax doesn't work for Ricoh anymore (just the local distributor), I doubt he would have any info on it. I'm suspicious.

And I did some searching. There is an earlier Kenspo account he has been using.

Isn't M42 flange distance the same as K-mount flange distance?

---------- Post added 05-20-16 at 01:13 PM ----------

18 months after getting my Q-7, I feel even more strongly than I did when I got it that a credible MILC effort needs to include an EVF. The K-3ii pioneered some of the features that were included in the K-1; I would be very surprised if {cautious} Pentax didn't pioneer EVF in a "lesser" camera, such as a new "Q" model or a K-02 before they introduced a new major product that depended on it.
