You need to work on reading for comprehension.

I was simply expressing an opinion, which is usually OK at a discussion forum.
I have nothing more to say on the subject.

My honest belief is that cradling with two hands provides superior stability to basically waving it around with one.
For me, the one-handed grip is mostly for the time between shots...when I'm just holding the camera or walking around. I don't like using a neckstrap, so having a firm, solid, comfortable grip on the camera that doesn't require squeezing hard, while still having a free hand, is a big deal. But when I'm actually taking the shot, then the second hand comes up and cradles the lens.

Although it is occasionally useful to be able to take one-handed shot without having to worry about dropping the camera, it's not the normal thing.

Yes, this will definitely happen,(DFA primes) but the way Kenspo replies to some speculation i'll guess the "exciting stuff" will involve a camera.

I'm still hunting for a k-01 though

Its a great companion for a K1,firstly as a back up battery holder and for the situations where you don't want the size and weight of a dslr.Of course its a great place to carry a pancake as well.(da 40mm works on K1)

A K-02 would make more sense, but with a very different design then K-01. In short: EVF, larger indent between the "mirror house" and grip, classic styling, modern features, lower weight.
Yes!

Should I say again that we're still in the first half of the year? And too soon after the K-1's launch?

This is the case with any release here, even for an entry level camera when people just bought a K-1.

I bought my K-30 just a year ago because my Canon Rebel died at a time when our bankbook was unfortunately low. Normally I would use a camera for four or more years before I would even start thinking about a new one. After a just a few minutes of thought, I decided that the K-1 just isn't the right camera for me, but I could be enticed by an APS-C camera if it has a flippy LCD, wifi, a reasonably small body, and {of course} a reasonable price.

One simple question: Does the SR work in video mode?

(Last seen in the wild on the K-5 models)

I see the burst rate (around 6fps) and buffer (for about 10 shots max) and max shutter speed of 1/6000 and no grip or top LCD as being a major difference between these consumer models and the 'pro' K-5/K-3 line.

The power of the K-30 range is that it drops these add on things that I don't value, in favour of the IQ and features that I do like.
If they fix the video, they'll get a new customer from me. If they don't (currently still offering their 2012 video offering even in the K-1) they won't get my money.
