If they fix the video, they'll get a new customer from me. If they don't (currently still offering their 2012 video offering even in the K-1) they won't get my money.

We don't know it hasn't been announced yet. But in general if you want video shop elsewhere

Might not be true this time as it has dual on sensor af and looks like it'll be released with a lens optimized for video AF.

Basically for me, if it's got real SR in video mode them I'm in. If not, them I'm not.

To be honest, I do hope that Pentax bumps up the video specs so I can convince my partner to switch from the dark side.

Yep basically in 2012 they added full manual control and 1080p @ 24fps. They also took away mechanical stabilisation.

Very little has improved/changed since then, and Pentax is looking quite stupid at those parts of reviews.

I had thought a so called 'youth orientated' product line of the K-S series would have addressed that, given many traditional Pentaxians don't seem to care, but they wheeled out the same video package on those ones too.
