Thanks reh321, OGL, and kunzite. Appreciate the information. You've given me some things to chew on - namely "how important is video?" and "do I want a Consumer or PRO body?" (identity crisis!)

I def shoot OVF - never a fan of LV. From viewing the online manuals for each camera the OVF visual/layout is identical. The question is just how much better is the PDAF performance in the K3II and I suppose we won't know until more samples and reviews are out there.

Feel like I also read somewhere that the sensor is the K3 is Prime III vs. Prime II in the K70.

"Prime" is the name used by Pentax for their (Fujitsu-made) imaging processors. The K-3 is using PRIME III, while the K-70 is using a PRIME MII plus an "accelerator unit". No idea how they compare.

Prime M II used to have 12 bits raws. In the the K-70 it is 14 bit. I don't think there is a real difference except implementation. It is probably the same chip. Socionext m7-m

Yes, but the "accelerator" is a hardware unit.

Yeah but that wasn't in the k-s2. What does it accelerate?

Pentax has been very coy, non-informative thus far. From what they have said, I personally believe that it will assist with noise reduction, making the K-70's higher ISO values actually useable, but that is just my opinion. We may know a tad more once actual users have actual cameras in their hands and can post actual high-ISO pictures from them.

It may accelerate in camera images processing for example in "enchanced clarity" mode jpeg's. On K-s2 its preety slow, and people was quite loud about that after k-s2 release.

Normally, when you try to forcibly reduce the noise of the high sensitivity, will be scarce plate impression of a sense of resolution, it feels like to process a sense a little blurred by. However, high sensitivity image quality of the PENTAX K-70 is, I have become a natural image building with an emphasis on a sense of resolution more than anything else. With a unique particle feeling, very it means that to achieve a sense of resolution with good sharpness pleasant. If the analogy, I I'm sense of resolution, such as a high sensitivity film in which the particles are aligned in clean, well, but you might have too much to go a little earlier than other.
Are we implement this resolution a sense, of the image processing engine PRIME M II and the new development of the accelerator unit. Dedicated IC chip = you can perform a number of image processing at a high speed by using the hardware. In other words, it is why has become possible treatment that did not rotate the hand until now. Accelerator unit is intended so to speak, such as a turbo charger of the image processing.
In camera corrections without slowing down tremendously.

According to the pentax camera comparison this camera could be even better than K-3 II? OMG I was about to buy K-3 II. But now I don't know what to do. Looks like K-70 offers almost the same feautures as K-3 2 does + tilt-swivel screen. Should I wait the K-70 camera?

Well, there are some differences that you should consider.
1. The AF:
The K-70 features the 11 Point AF System, with an updated chip? (SAFOX X instead of SAFOX IXi+ from the K-30/50)
The K-3 ii features the 27 SAFOX 11 Chip

2. Battery Capacity
K-70 D-Li 109 1050mAh
K-3 ii D-LI 90 1860mAh

3. GPS (K-3 ii) and no GPS (K-70)

Though the K-70 is very tempting, i am curious on the K-3 ii replacement.
