The new mount, the resolution (24 vs 20 MP) and the inclusion of Pixel Shift are some other differences. Of course, if those don't matter to you, I see your point.
Yeah...and I sent the question to Ricoh Imaging if I should upgrade the KS2 for the K-70 and the representative said No it wouldn't be worth it.

That is his opinion based on his needs.

What are your needs?

I probably wouldn't do the upgrade either but the K-70 might be my upgrade next year from my K-50.

Indeed, and the leaked operating manual of K-70 confirms that it cannot wireless trigger flashes with its popup flash.
There is a pattern here: all recent SLR bodies until 2013 has a wireless mode, but starting in 2014 no Pentax body kept this functionality, either because of the lack of popup flash (645Z, K-3II and K-1) or because they could not (K-S1, K-S2, K-70). And, starting in 2015 (which means except the K-S1 and 645Z), they all have builtin WiFi.
I hope that a firmware update could enable to use the WiFi chipset and antenna to enable radio trigger of external flashes.
No way unless current flashes have built-in unused wifi radio which I'm certain they have not.
Btw, wifi would be silly as a trigger but maybe that's just me.

I am surprised that no one mentioned the K70 is already in the phone app.

Agreed, current Pentax flashes cannot be radio triggered without adding some hardware.
However, many third-party radio systems for external flashes use the same frequencies as the WiFi (but not the WiFi protocol) ; if the baseband chipset that is in the recent Pentax bodies can be configured for something other than WiFi (e.g. Cactus V6 protocol at 2.4 GHz) then it could be done by a firmware upgrade.

My majority of shooting is objects that move quickly

which I have found the KS2 is much better at capturing than my K-5IIs,with the K-3 "discontinue" on the horizon I'm pretty much leaning on picking up one within the next month or so.

For a K-5 user wanting to stay APS-C, the K-70 most definitely strikes me as being a step up - if I weren't going full-frame I would consider it, as I could conceal the screen and stop my chimping habit. But for the person who's already shooting a 20MP camera quite happily, 24 is not that much of a huge leap forward. Now if they'd put the K-1's SAFOX XIII module in, with its dense coverage of the crop zone and improved AF handling algorithms, that would definitely be worth trading up for. But I suspect such a thing will be for the next APS-C flagship model.

Japanese model, no eu or us warranty and overpriced and import and custom duties. You must be a real Pentax freak to buy it.

Nah, I'll skip this one. My next camera is K-3II... Not yet, though.

If you're waiting that long you might as well wait for the K-3.
