Manual focus + no interest in f/1.2 for such a range imho.

I'm hoping the last one will be the really interesting one?!? Though I'm not sure what lens that would need to be... Too many in my bag already (a few great Samyangs as well)... :-D

Hmm, could fit nicely in between my Samyang 16/2 and 24/1.4. Same filter size as well.

I could use a 20 1.8 on apsc. The slow aperture on the DA 21 is what has held me back on it.

To me there reason behind f/3.2 apperture of DA21... Light/Small and AF among other things.

If apperture was a priority and size not the issue, there was a few sigma AF lenses available in the range as well as the 18-35 f/1.8 zoom from quite some time...

Here you get the benefit of maybe better optics, but no AF (might be a problem at f/1.8...)

The price might be better than a 18-35, but I doubt it would be better than one of the old sigma primes.

I do find this 20/1.8 interesting...if distortion would be well controlled. It is competition between Irix 15 and this for me.

I hope the Pentax lens design team (and their managers ...) are keeping watch on what SamYang are doing.

Impressive productivity from the small Korean lens maker.

Much more than recycled IMO this ils a complete communication failure

After all some companies do it all the time and don't get much trouble surprisingly (Nvidia, hear me?).
