Interesting remark about the shutter loudness.
The shutter noise was indeed one of the main reasons I sold my KS2.

I wonder if the sensor is the exact same spec as the K-3/K-3II or of this is a different 24MP like the one in the A6100 (vs the one in the K-3 which I think is the same as the NEX-7).
It can't be the same design as K3/K3II as the K70 offers hybrid AF.
Most likely Sony A6xx sensor or derivate of it.

Can the rear panel be twisted and placed flat against the body so you can use it like a normal rear screen?

For almost the same price you can have a K3 with much better PDAF, metering, tracking capabilities, buid quality and all the "pro" features. The expected life of the body is not the same neither 200 000 actuations for K3. How many for K70 ? 50 000 like K50 ?

The K70 benefit lies in the articulated screen and live view performance for video. But if you primarily use live view... Why buy a reflex? It may make sense to buy the K70 once it is noticably cheaper than the K3, but as for now there like 100$, except if you die for the articulated screen, there no much reason to go for this one. On B&H that's not even 100$ but 50$...

You may be missing two important items, but we won't really know until real users have had the opportunity to take unprompted pictures using the K-70

(1) new high ISO value, especially after cleaned up by their new NR system

(2) KAF4 {and perhaps new AF algorithms}, especially if more KAF4 lenses are released

We will see how it goes But you remark add a point: K3 is battle tested

KAF4 could become annoying. High iso I'd hope they make great progress but I am a bit affraid that just the JPEG algorithm so no difference in lightroom/dxo.

Just a query, do you guys think that Pentax will be manufacturing all new lenses using the KAF4 Mount? Are there feedbacks from testers on how fast is the AF on this lens? It would be great to know.

Camera manufacturer make money by selling lenses. and by building their echosystem. Once you have spent money on lense, past the free kit lens, of course, he become easier to stay in the system than to switch.

If you evolve the system too fast, you may loose long time user of the system. If key lenses can't be brought by old Pentax ower that's an issue. That's why the first SDM lenses had dual focussing mecanism. If it is just consumers lenses that are incompatible that not a very big problem. It is noticable that all the new DFA don't use KAF4... But well get the response soon enough. Will the lenses release in the next 2 years be all KAF4 or not?

In a previous post, Adam commented that he thought there could possibly be a few more KAF4 lenses coming, but primarily consumer oriented. I'd guess that's the case too... I really can't see Ricoh intentionally cutting off all Pentax owners pre-K3II. It would be bad for business, and I'm certain they'll have thought of that.
