Looks great!!

But what on earth was Ricoh thinking putting that huge model sticker on the back of the camera (instead of on the base, as usual)??! I know it will be hidden by the screen when it's not articulated, but even so... Otherwise, I like

Cool! Does K-70 have the grip? Look the bottom of the body. Let me know.

He's coming from a K-5. I think it was a K-5 shooter that dubbed the K-30/50 shutter the "sonic boom". So the K-70 probably sounds exactly the same as the K-30/50/500/S2/S1.

There is no grip for the K-70. There is none listed in the specs or accessories, and while I can't find the post, one of the Japanese photo sites had a picture of the bottom when the K-70 was first announced. It was almost identical to the bottom of the K-S2.

The huge info sticker behind the LCD is the same as the K-S2 as well.

My K-S2 has the same sticker and I never thought about it twice. It seems as if they figured they can get more info on the camera since it'll be hidden behind the LCD screen most of the time. I thought some of that info had to be there for legal purposes specifically because of the variable angle screen.

I like the camera a lot. It's a fusion of entry level and high end professional bodies. I'm tempted to sell the K-S2 .

It's there so that people will have something to complain about. After watching launches of the K-3ii and K-1, I became aware that Pentaxians are happy only when they're complaining.

I didn't realise it was on the K-S2 as well. It certainly wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me if I was in the market for one, and at least it's behind the screen most of the time... but when I saw the product photos, it definitely took me by surprise!! Anyway, it's how the camera performs that's important, and I suspect it'll be impressive

LOL

EDIT: Speaking of the K-1... where's the product information sticker on that? I had a look at the camera at a show a few months back, and don't remember seeing one like this... but I'm struggling to think why one model would have it and another wouldn't...

Why they say this? What it mean?

Look "new grip design"

This was accomplished by improving its operability, with a new grip design that provides firm hold of the camera body even with a gloved hand, and through a complete design review of the mode dial and control buttons

Makes me wonder if Pentax is still using the same aperture motor that the K-30/50/500/S1/S2 is using.

I guess I had a similar reaction because I wasn't expecting anything to be there. But I immediately got used to it.

Interesting thing to note is that when I compared pictures of the rear of the K-S2 and K70, they seem to be exactly the same.

Looking good! It looks particularly good with the DA 21. But then, the DA primes always flatter the camera. They're beautiful designs, even the plastic fantastic ones.

I wonder if the sensor is the exact same spec as the K-3/K-3II or of this is a different 24MP like the one in the A6100 (vs the one in the K-3 which I think is the same as the NEX-7).

Either way, the camera looks like another winner.
