Speaking of the Irix 15mm, wasn't it supposed to be out by now? Originally slated for the northern spring -- long gone -- then summer -- rapidly waning -- people are already jumping ship, judging by their facebook page. This rash of new options and their tardy release will hurt Irix I suspect.

20mm f/1.8 from Samyang does seem to be a sweet spot indeed.

This is great indeed! Really like my Samyang 85 f1.4 - it spends quite a bit of time on my camera.
Damn might have to save up even more money (still saving for K-1 at moment)!

Mmmmhhh.... saving the link.

For $470(+55 hood) maybe, for $600(+55 hood) i think ill wait for the release of the samyang to compare, i can finance the payment with Amazon once they have the Rokinon version, with the Skopar is pretty much "in cash".

How good is the skopar wide open? i want/need it for interior shoots and if at f3.5 can do the job if its sharp enough.

I bought a $5 hood on ebay...... think of the Skopar as a FF manual DA15....... some field curvature and softness in corners until F8ish....... very good colours, rendering and resistance to flare..... nice starbursts..... and here is the really BIG thing..... 205 grams..... not 500 ish..... (and 52mm filters)....so it will always be with me. Not for everyone....not for you with what you've indicated.

Of course huge prints and full on corner sharpnesss, wide open pixel peeping etc is Zeiss territory

I went looking mostly at Nikon D800 shots with it (flickr etc).... best way to see if it will suit your needs.

Im really dont care softness until 1/4 or the cornerss in the side, and 1/8 softness on the top or bottom part wide open, i look on the flickr stream of the lens, a lot of f8-f11-f16 shoots, very good all of them way better than any of my tries, and a few at f3.5 (didnt look too much as it was almost 3am) some look soft in all the frame, some sharp enough (at small (only) resolution), some with the focus way off.... and that make a desicion very dificult as im not certain if the lens is soft wide open or sharp enough, if someone have a lemon or they cant do manual focus, reviews are pretty much equal, some says the lens is a gem others rather dissaponting lens, so im not shure on what to think

I cant denied Zeiss quality, but if the Samyang deliver 95% of that quality at less than half the cost (as the 135mm) ill take it.

Still looking for a cheap voigtlander 58mm tough XD

Thanks for your input

Would like to see a comparison between this on APS-C and the FA31 on FF since they are similar focal lengths and speeds. The DA21 is a nice lens and the size is great but I'd like something similar to the FA31 when it comes to speed.
