In Germany it is available too, but not for the Pentax Mount yet. I asked the german distributer via Facebook (Link) and they said you can already order it.

I wonder if it would be worth waiting to see what Pentax comes out with with a similar focal length prime

How are you liking the Sigma?

So finally I feel qualified to reply your question. This Sigma is better than I expected. Way better than you could think based on the rating here in the lens database. I love it.

from my first test it is a good lens, however, the flare resistance of my DA 15mm limited is just not reached by any lens I have worked with. I hope Pentax brings us a smaller packaged (compared to the samyang) 20mm-ish lens with the sharpness of the samyang and the flare-resistance of the DA 15mm limited

Yes, I said this a long time ago. I can't live without my 15 limited and nothing else compares. I need a FF version. A 20mm f/4 that is compact, sharp and has that same flare resistance and rendering. I need it in my veins.

Leica? There is your fix. Get M-Monochrom and Zeiss 21mm f/4.5 biogon. Then the slight corner coloration issues do not matter. That biogon is smaller than 15mm limited and optically surgical instrument.

exactly my thoughts. My flight tomorrow is with the samyang 1.8, will use it when applicable because its full frame, however, the DA 15mm limited is with me and will be for pics against light or where I have the feeling that the DA will deliver the extra pixie dust.

I've also noticed that f1.7 is indicated on the camera. What is the reason for that?

Just a word from one Finnish guy. Not to say that I'm completelly in MJkoski camp, BUT! I n Finland we are quite strickt and honest with our outcome, I'v faced it many times too. I can read his sentenses quite different way, and all in all it is wether people likes it or not. It is true in what he has seen, for him. Now it is completelly everyones own responsibility how to take it.

His problems are to do with personality and judgement, not language and culture, Repaap.

I don't know if this is variable btw copies, or generic for the K-mount
