So it looks like they added back PEF support for older models like my K10D.

Edit: confirmed, I installed the upgrade on my Windows 10 Pro 64bit and I can now edit and develop PEF files from my K10D.

I decided to install DCU (it came with the K-S1 but I hadn't installed it). I like it despite the 1995 style interface Tried it with my K10D so far.

I found it amusing though, that I did all my edits with the program showing my pic in portrait orientation... which is what I intended. But then when I exported to .jpg, it exported as landscape? I even tried one where I rotated it first, it still won't save as portrait.

I've never had this problem. Possibly something in your settings? The K-S1 probably shipped with v5.4.x or v5.5.1. Both of which work with no problem with the PEF files from my K10D.

The K-S1 shipped with 5.2.0 but I upgraded to 5.6.2.
Other than the clumsy WB settings and the portrait thing which might be a setting, it's not too bad
I think the raw converter is better than the one with Rawtherapee but not quite as good as Aftershot Pro. Close though, from my K10d tests.

Does it still have that annoying multiple window display?

I'm not at home to check on that : does it bring K-1's "skin colour" setting ?

Yes. It took me forever to find out how to open a file... because the file manager was hidden behind another window.

The entire program is so 1995 it's not funny! But at least I'm finding what is under the hood works well despite the interface.
