How could I not know? It was obvious the first time I tried to operate a Samsung Galaxy camera - the concept is terribly flawed. And you couldn't even make phone calls with it.

Fuji's X mount doesn't have IBIS
IBIS is not part of the mount Look at E-mount and m43. They added ibis later.

Hmmm, you don't know how to use a POINT & SHOOT?

For one, Android's UI is unsuitable for a camera.

So if I have enough experience to recognize that a camera is flawed, that means I "don't know how to use a POINT & SHOOT"? Try again. And try thinking before posting.

Why not, if it has a SIM card and it's running Android?

OK, lets find out exactly what you are talking about please?

You tried the first Samsung Galaxy camera? Which was the first "connected" camera? its a point and shoot runs Android 4 point 2(I think)...4.7inch touchscreen. Is that the one you put a Sim card in and thought it could make calls?

True but I read that the the X mount isn't wide enough to avoid clipping the image circle if IBIS is involved. Might be BS though.

I don't think Ricoh-Imaging is in a position to start a new product line with a new mount that needs a new line of lenses. Not now and not in 2017. So start to put this idea on ice for some years.
But they could release a KAF4-mount MILC.

ah yea it was the 43mm and cosina did make it. I wonder if Pentax just gave them the formula for the lens and cosina adapted it to have a short flange?

A tube was added on the back, as simple as that.

I didn't thought it could make calls; I was joking about it with the Samsung rep who - unsuccessfully - tried to sell me on the camera.
But I did thought you could recognize a joke when you see one.

Yes, and the Galaxy NX. And the NX-1, but that was something else - an almost DSLR-like experience (thanks to its non-Android interface).
And I already had several Android smartphones, all with cameras.
