Personally I would be shocked if there is not a replacement announced before end of year. I guess to answer your question if there is no replacement by next summer there never will be one. IMHO.

Soldier on with my K-01 + K-5 II combo, with or without a K-3 II successor. Not worried about the future, as there may not be one.

I'm not ready for a new camera. My only wish is that the k-mount will continue. I wouldn't care if it will be a MILC. I know I don't like MILC but, that's something I'll cross when it comes. Right now I'm still waiting for the K-5II firmware update so that I can use the KAF4 lenses which I think is the future of the k-mount.

Whether comes a K3 replacement or not, my plan is the same: shoot with K-5IIs.

Nikon users had to wait 7 years for the D500 (9 if counting from the D300). Patience.

Same plan as I've always had.

Use the gear I own, and don't waste an ounce of energy speculating about that which I cannot influence.

When a new camera is released, I will evaluate it on its own merits, and should it prove to be the next step that I am waiting to take, I will move to it. Should it not have what I am looking for I will continue to make the best use of what I have.

Same as yesterday.
