I have it on good authority the phone will be designated the K-S1n, with ergonomics for women with large hands. The selfie camera will have a blinking colored LED surround.
Isn't that the new model that also features a pop-up Theta in place of the flash? The brand label on the back face says "Ricoh-Pentax" in honour of a certain long-running PF thread.

The K-3III will almost-certainly have a high quality focal length reducer built-in for pseudo full-frame on a budget
It was my understanding that it features a proprietary photon re-use cycle.

Is Ricoh pentax slowely shutting down 😧
i dont think so.
But surely making up it's strategy for the next 5 years, in a never like before adverse business environment.

Look back in a blick at 2016 :
- Q system probably discontinued, no lens nor body issued
- only one APS-C new lens, new K-70, but incrediblingly unpublicised and launched at the worst year's period, so low sales
- no new APS-C sony sensor
- bad K-3II sales since the start early 2015
- unreacheable Nikon D500
- no 645 new lens
- "successful" K-1 launch, yet slowed down by lack of new primes

Global yearly photog sales volumes continuous drop of about 20%, reaching the lowest numbers since 2008...

So : what can we expect in 2017 ?

- at best new K-3 III and FF primes, even new APS-C wide zoom
- at worst : nothing but Theta R

In 2018 ?

Maybe a new mirrorless 645... with a few lenses.

There have been statements from several credible sources that Pentax does not currently plan to introduce another FF camera below or above the K-1. So luckily the chance of your speculation being true is pretty minuscule.
Surely you jest! If there is no new FF, then the price of remaining inventory K-1 and K-3II will never drop and the used market for all Pentax product will go stale. That is incompatible with my desired upgrade path and budget and therefore unacceptable! You should recheck your sources.

the proper quote is...

'Pentax is doomed...DOOMED!!!'

I've told you and told you till I'm blue in the face....
You look more pink than blue. Auto WB failed again.

Will surely be fixed in the new K-3 DPG*

For the K-3III, yes... but the parallel "/F" model uses 135 film to leverage the re-introduction of Ektachrome and Kodachrome. We Pentaxians have much to look forward to...

Ricoh Imaging might not plan to add a new FF right now (i.e. 2016 2017). This shouldn't be interpreted as "never ever".

yea!

I agree, They are probably going through a transition period. Like how Sigma rebranded their entire lens to the Art series.

They didn't. They established three new series - 'Art', 'Contemporary', and 'Sport'.

I reserve the right to write "2016" instead of "2017" until at least summer
