Four days, 255 posts and this discussion has strayed a bit. I mean, really, a new camera registered in Indonesia to some web retailer in Israel whose newest camera is a K5?

Wow.

Oh, hey, look!

Pentax has a twin lens reflex camera!

Or is it a weird stereo camera?

I dislike this idea since it would require one to use the grip at all times that GPS/astrotracking is needed. That is a lot of additional bulk for something that was in the camera itself in the previous model. Especially just to cater to the select few that keep yelling for that tiny, popup flash in it's place... no thanks.
How about putting the flash in the grip, instead?

Could be good in portrait orientation, but would look slightly weird using the combination upside down in landscape mode.

The Marshall McLuhan camera (the body is the grip, or maybe the medium is the massage)

I'm unsure if that is an accurate representation of the K-3 II successor, but it does look a lot like it with a DA 50mm f/1.8 attached.

Also:
(22) 【Application Date】 January 22, 2015
and
(43) [Publication date] July 25, 2016

So I don't necessarily think it is what the KP or whatever the K-3 II successor will be called looks like.
Indeed. Rhey traditionnaly use older cameras representations in their patents for obvious reasons.
In K10/K7 era they used istD images.

Oh please Mr. Pentax, send us the specs quick! The speculations on this thread is getting out of hand. Some might even add a coffee maker thingy that should be attached to the camera. Though I would love that as I can have coffee while I take pictures. Now what am I saying? I'm thinking like the others. If we don't get something within a couple of days, this thread will reach 1000 pages. And it's all your fault!

If they send us the specs, we'd only read them, decide they're completely uninteresting - they look too much like a real camera - and start speculating about the next model
There's nothing Pentax could do to stop that.
