You guys better be careful what you ask for. They may just try and deliver.

And we all know that when you try to get too many tasks from one device you get something that does lots of things, but doesn't do any of them well.

Probably wind up with photos that have coffee cup ring stains on them.

K-1 Camera To Rule Them All
Everything depends on context. If what I hear about the *istD is true, it had full analogue TTL control on the internal flash. As someone who shoots a lot with manual-aperture lenses, this would be a godsend; as it is, I struggle to close the Industar down far enough, and when I do it's hard to confirm that the focus hasn't shifted...

Now if they brought in a K-1 successor with restored analogue TTL control, or somehow gave it to us in firmware, I'd jump at that in a heartbeat (even if I could only use it in crop mode, with the outer part of the sensor acting as the TTL meter, it'd be better than an *istDS and almost as good as my K-5). Please, Pentax, please do that before I plonk down cash on your wallet-brutalising full-frame wonder...

It seems to me the quote above talks about autofocus, fast fps with large buffer and low light performance

i don't know - do you really think in 2017 they should accommodate 250,000,000 legacy manual aperture lenses?

Asahi Breweries is partnering with Pentax to form a new Asahi Pentax?

A camera that also can be used to draw a fresh, frosty mug of beer. Just the ticket on a hot summer day of landscape shooting, or after an arduous afternoon in the park surreptitiously shooting strangers.

Nice!

Or maybe it's just a cute allusion to an elaborate, dark, heroic allegory.

Do you see Takuma Kajiwara as Frodo or Bilbo?
