Everything depends on context.
If what I hear about the *istD is true, it had full analogue TTL control
on the internal flash. As someone who shoots a lot with manual-aperture lenses, this would be a godsend; as it is, I struggle to close the Industar down far enough, and when I do it's hard to confirm that the focus hasn't shifted...
Now if they brought in a K-1 successor with restored analogue TTL control, or somehow gave it to us in firmware, I'd jump at that in a heartbeat (even if I could only use it in crop mode, with the outer part of the sensor acting as the TTL meter, it'd be better than an *istDS and almost as good as my K-5). Please, Pentax, please do that before I plonk down cash on your wallet-brutalising full-frame wonder...
