This is what I love about pentaxforums, there's never a dull moment. At first there was silence then the k-3II came. After that the k-1. Just when we thought there will be silence, came the k-70. Now, the k-p has started a new fire in the forum. Of course, Ricoh must love our whining to give us something new this year. But the truth is, I'm glad Ricoh took over Pentax.

Yes.. maybe the successor of K3II will have new sensor and K1 AF system but this not will be the KP. I think KP will be low end camera - the successor of K-S1 - something like a Nikon D3xxx series. I think K50 and K500 will be totally stopped.
K-S1>>>KP
K-S2>>>K70
K3II>>> ?

There are two sources for an announcement on the 26th: Sayuri DigitalFotoNetz.de :: Thema anzeigen - K-3 III ? yesterday at 22:27 CET and asahi man this morning around 9am CET.

Allow me to add the precise time: 7am JST, 11pm (on the 25th) CET and 6pm (on the 25th) EST: Pentax KP

Provided both sushi and sake are up to scratch, I can think of worse ways to be the target of a review embargo.
