In essence, your strategy would kill Pentax without providing you with the (much) better AF system.
Not "my strategy". I do hope there is more than just a better AF in ANY upcoming pentax. But if I had to choose between those 2, I will go with AF.

Take it with a grain of salt for the time being.
A changable/customizable grip for the camera will be very welcomed, and packing a few different ones with the camera should not be too expensive.
