There is a rumor about mirror-less APS-C Pentax camera that will be called Pentax M-E. Not sure how true is this:

It is. In fact, the original Japanese text says that they don't know whether it will be APS-C or FF. It also says that there will be a new mount that will require an adapter for K-mount lenses. Even that doesn't matter, because it was just speculation published in a Japanese magazine. It's very unlikely to have any truth behind it.

Yes. The magazine article bears no relation to the K-P. It's fantasy.

Oh we've already discussed this for many pages. Someone even tried to create a new thread in this forum, that you missed, and I linked to this thread where it was discussed. There isn't a lot of weight being given by this rumor at the moment. And, even if it is true, looks to be a different rumor than the KP.

It appears ALL of the rumor sites get their information from Pentax Forums. So it becomes circular of people posting rumors on PF, the rumor sites reading PF and writing about the rumors, people reading the rumor sites and posting back at PF about these new rumors they saw.

I like what I've seen so far, enough that I've almost completely given up on my K-5 for single-in and gone over to the *istDS, especially when it comes to using Takumar, K and M lenses. My only real problem with all of those is that my flash isn't powerful enough for some of the stuff I want to do (direct flash is blinding, while bounce flash at f/16 for hand held macro work with bellows is insufficiently powerful or runs into shadowing problems at full bellows extension; I will have to start getting the tripod and cable release out and playing with bounce cards).

I keep hoping that one day they will rectify this on a digital SLR. Until then, and possibly beyond, I will keep on shooting film.
