The good news: the new distribution deal with Circle K means we can buy Pentax gear anywhere, anytime!

There's two ways to reduce the time:

Increase the ISO (but then things get noisy)

Increase the aperture to let more light in.

As much as we might prefer more light, methinks the thread will take the high-ISO route.

The signal-to-noise ratio in these pre-announcement threads is already so low that I have trouble seeing how it could get worse. :-P

I'd be interested to see the aperture option: more enlightened but less in focus.

The answer is ISO -38 to 109,364,200.66, 10^19 FPS when hooked to a nuclear reactor, though your shutter will wear out in 4 nanoseconds, and 8k video.

Ricoh will stay 1080p forever. it is enough. That's what the p is for The Pentax K1080P. Want 4/8/16/32K? Look elsewhere.

You could freeze yourself. But then you might wake up too far in the future to find it taken over by otters who worship Richard Dawkins.

What we really need to do is freeze Eric - or clone him and freeze him - so that we can wake him/his clone up every fifty years or so for mass refurbishment of those Pentax film bodies for which we can still scrounge parts.

Ricoh introduced 4K in the action cam last year....and that sensor would be ideal for the Q even though its a backward step for stills.

I like what I've seen so far, enough that I've almost completely given up on my K-5 for single-in and gone over to the *istDS, especially when it comes to using Takumar, K and M lenses. My only real problem with all of those is that my flash isn't powerful enough for some of the stuff I want to do (direct flash is blinding, while bounce flash at f/16 for hand held macro work with bellows is insufficiently powerful or runs into shadowing problems at full bellows extension; I will have to start getting the tripod and cable release out and playing with bounce cards).
Fine then, if you're happy, it's the only thing that counts.
What flash are you using ?

AF280T. There are more powerful TTL flashes that do the same thing, but this was the cheapest and easiest to get hold of. It's also the cheapest and easiest bounce-swivel flash to get hold of that has an inbuilt thyristor for self-management of exposure on less advanced bodies that don't have, or predate, TTL (which is why I bought it in the first place; having a Super Program and a TTL DSLR to shoot it on now is a bonus).

I also have an AF080C ringflash, but a little more practice is required with that one before I can get best results.
