I did and couldn't find anything like that. @Kenspo hasn't reveiled anything about the KP and surely hasn't make this statement. If you can show me I'm wrong please guide me to his post.

Only @asahiman wrote that the KP isn't the K-3II replacement and something else will follow.

Its a celebration model of 50years of pentaprism...only my guess but we'll get a better idea very soon.
If that is the case I have no problem with this camera at all, and look forward to the K-3II successor

Yep I can look it up from his profile: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/search.php?searchid=18815330

I'm insisting because I like not to alter the truth and because sometimes what is written in here can be found elsewhere as an "inside information" and people might get into trouble. Ask @kenspo about that, if you don't already know what I mean. No offense.

Maybe KenSpo didn't state that....after so many posts last night,(OZ TIME) it was a hectic time keeping up...ha ha

AshaiMan did say it on both threads though....

But in all logic...its pretty obvious that the KP(small battery/single card slot) isn't a K3ii replacement...Ricoh wouldn't do that

As ive stated, I'm guessing its a one off....and as someone else said a KS3( but they wouldn't call it that due to the confusion with the other K3/ii models)

Its not, been stated by Ashai Man and KenSpo....

By saying "If it will be K-3II's replacement soon", ogl means "If there will be a successor to K-3 II soon" so you are both on the same line: if there will be a successor to K-3 II soon, KP is not a bad move. It means four lines of cameras: K-70, KP, K-3 III (i.e. K-3 II successor) and K-1.

Sometimes grammar can be confusing, thanks for clarifying....Ogl forgot about the 645 line though...that's 5( but 4 with Kmounts)....and we still don't know a thing about Q.

If this camera would have the image quality of the k-1 and the AF speed of the d7200, then I would say Ricoh really did a good job despite the criticisms that are currently going. But I agree with most of us here, this is not a k-3II replacement. Just thinking out loud and not trying to make an argument.

AsahiMan certainly did.

And my own reading of things is that 2 X SD card slots would be required for a K-3II replacement - ie a 'flagship' design today. It's a marketing and 'professional usage' thing.

APS-C flagships from Canikon (eg 7DII/D500), Fuji (XT-2), even Olympus (OM-D E-M1 Mark II) - are all two SD slots. Nowadays, only Sony seems to stick to single slot storage, for some reason, even in their full-frames (except for the A99II).
