I have to wonder how perceptions of the KP would change if the next high-end APS-C launched at, say, US$1399.
The KP has a number of features that I find interesting, like the new bracketing modes (petition to add them to the K-3/K-3II via firmware in three... two... one...), and most of the things it lacks aren't a huge deal to me (I always carry spare batteries anyhow, etc.). I'm still concerned about the "loud" shutter - even something halfway between the "sonic boom" and the "Mercedes door dipped in butter" might be okay...
