Interesting, but coupled with the images from the KP - I still have reservations.
- Sensor - performance and technology? what is the expected performance?
- ISO - 819,200?? ok - but what is usable? is 6400 on the KP equal to 800 on the K5IIs
- Shutter speed 1/24,000 s - interesting especially when coupled with Bracketing and Pixel Shift
- No GPS? - which possibly indicates a future K3II replacement
AshiMan's indication of this not being the K3II replacement rings true. However with this KP potentially at $1300 and the K1 at $1700-$2000, I do not see really much room for at K3II replacement price point. And the K1 get very expensive when I would need to package it with the DFA 15-30.
Again, I am very happily shooting with my K5IIs, which is sitting right here on the table with me. I'll just wait till all of the KP hoopla is over and wait for the K3II real replacement, performance, specifications and pricing. I want to see all the information on the table along with reviews and what/how whatever is out there is actually shooting - before I even start to entertain anything - which to get all of this available is a year away.
