So it looks like we get the (quieter) k-3 shutter. Nice! Those specs look pretty good.

The K-3's shutter? Where do you see that? There's the mention of an electronic shutter, but otherwise...

Hmm... it does leave room for an APS-C flagship, as I suspected... but will it happen? And if so, when? And how? Should I start a thread for speculations?

Isn't that more than a stop faster than any other Pentax? Or have we had faster than 1/8,000 before?

We had 1/8000s with a mechanical (focal plane) shutter; this camera has 1/24000 - apparently with an electronic shutter (I won't be certain until I see the official specs). It's something new.
The camera might not be a true K-3 replacement, but it does have some surprises...

(and it looks better than the K-1! )

What is the round structure/button on the front right of the camera and also seen on the grip? Looks like they re-engineered the "Take picture" button.

On paper this camera looks pretty fascinating. I hope it's priced well. It could kick but in aps-c market

shardulm: There's a wheel on the grip (and the front wheel on the camera is vertical). If you haven't already seen them in the other thread, pics of the camera are here.

At a guess, a replication of the thumbwheel on the front of the body.

It might mean that ISO 51200 is finally usable, not just marketing.
