Great !
All in one official page: well done!
((That'll be a lot better than having to go through all the K-P threads already existing))

Wow, so a new APSC flagship. Looks very stylish, professional! Honestly, stats look amazing. Only thing i'm surprised is the battery? Think its gonna sell well, especially with the purists, because of the very clean style

Want to see the photos of black limited lenses on the sliver camera.
Sliver one looks better from front but the black one looks better from back...

I like the styling too, but it's definitely NOT a new flagship, even though it comes with a nice new battery grip option. The tiny D-Li190 battery will not give it enough life, and the buffer is way too small.
Still lots to like though.

Looked at BHPhoto page. It says body is magnesium alloy. Construction material is not noted in the press release. I am curious what construction the body is. The type of strap mounts would appear to indicate it is a metal body. It is a nice looking camera, could be on my radar screen later this year as K-5 replacement. Really tempting looking with the limited zoom mounted. It probably would be a good match with the limited primes too.

OK, per everything I have read this is the new top tier APS-C D-SLR from Pentax for a while. Pre-order placed for a black model with B&H, per my promise I would get whatever came out. No battery grip release info yet either on B&H, oh well, I will grab one of those once available too along with a spare battery. Likely will also order a 20-40 to go on it as well. That completes my spending spree.

Update: The battery grip is out now as well on B&H's site.

But this is a wrong information. Whatever metal they used but only parts of the case are metal. The top-cover for example is simple plastic.
This is not a fully metal-covered body.

Agree. If there ever was an award for styling, Pentax will win many times. With this one, they have raised the bar again. Well done Pentax.

The specs look pretty predictable though. I would be curious to see the images it produces in high ISOs. The rest of the specs are all evolutionary.

IT's seem all your message are against Pentax, why not looking at the other brand.

On the other site certain people are calling it ugly. I think that's a reflex for them, they didn't even looked at the pictures.
IMO it looks better than the recent cameras, including my K-1 (which looks a bit "clunky" and massive).
