I would be very surprise to see an extension of line of product after you see that Nikon cancel line of product. Ricoh better concentrate on few models with better volume than more models will less volume.

I do not expect SR on a GR iteration as it would imply a gain in thickness. an EVF instead of the flash ? Anyway it's not for the CP+ as it has not been registered anywhere for wifi.

Maybe the GR FF could be the Pentax 40mm Compact Full Frame. Pentax knows how to make excellent small 40mm lenses. With OLED screens and moving to microSD cards could make it possible to keep such a camera small.

Ricoh/Pentax should go microSD across all their cameras. Instead of 2 slots a camera like the K-1 could have 4 slots. The GR could have 2 slots using microSD.

I'd rather they released a FF GXR with aps-h mode (FF-sensor, but apsh crop to solve corner issues with some RF lenses).

Otherwise, I see little need for a FF GR.
The GXR makes sense to be FF as it needs to take legacy FF lenses.
With a new GR, the lens can be designed around the apsc sensor (for equivalent FOV and DOF ).
A 28mm f2 (f1.8) + apsc sensor and new processor will be a a good upgrade, while being also cheaper than a FF.

Why should they switch to microSD on their DSLR line?

And for the big fingered people with GOOD eyes!

I think Ricoh has it hands full (pun intended ) with K-1 FF DSLR camera. Let's hope instead for a price adjustment for it (not likely) or a positive cost adjustment (much less likely).

Hey there D1NO, I think we just went from a speculative post to a full blown rumor!

Want to remind you that Ricoh GR R&D and Pentax DSLR R&D were separate before Ricoh bought Pentax. R&D could still be separatet.

Probably they're not - as it makes little sense to keep "Ricoh camera R&D" and "Pentax camera R&D" as separate entities. You'd end up developing many things twice.
Besides:
"As you pointed out, Ricoh had a group of engineers who specialized in cameras, and Pentax also had engineers. We merged these two groups, and on top of that Ricoh has a big engineering group engaged in technology innovation or fundamental development. Those [R&D] engineers are not part of Ricoh Imaging, but because of the Ricoh Group, now Ricoh Imaging can take advantage of all those technologies to adapt to features in cameras."

I don't know if it shall be from Ricoh or Pentax but new mirrorles are to come in aps-c, ff and even mf, since fujifilm and hasselblad did it.
