Please, ask about co-operation with Sigma...

First pictures of the new Sigma 14mm f/1.8, 135mm f/1.8, 24-70mm f/2.8 and 100-400mm f/5-6.3 lenses | Nikon Rumors

Sigma ART lenses have been consistently excellent and more is coming at steady rate. It is sad to see only CaNikon mount options lens after lens.

Concentrate on lenses, lenses and lenses and the compatibility of other brand lenses, lenses and lenses. (Sigma, Tamron and Tokina)
This is a very frustrating situation in case of the FF K-1 and in lesser extend for the Pentax 645 Z. (wide end and shift)

Do they have a view on:
- using the improvements in high ISO quality to reduce the size, by increasing F number, (without decreasing the IQ!) of lenses?
- providing a high quality JPEG output? Lossless JPEG2000?
- giving us better [advance warning] information on upcoming products?
- higher write speed to make good use of U1+ cards? If you write at 90+MB/s and take 7*13MB pic/s you don't need a big buffer...

1. On the K-1, is it possible that the max shutter sync speed can be increased to 1/250 and lowest ISO decreased to 50 via firmware update?
2. What are your plans to increase options for off camera flash? It would be good perhaps to work with Godox/Flashpoint/Profoto etc to allow for TTL and HSS. For portrait photographers, not having this as an option eliminates Pentax as a option for many of them due to Pentax lacking in this area.
3. What are your plans, if any, to help with a more efficient means of lens calibration? I've spent countless numbers of shutter clicks calibrating lens/camera using fine focus adjustment. And with zooms there ought to be a lens calibration for different focal lengths.
4. Could you add something similar to Sony's Eye AF?
5. Where's your 85 1.4?

With more focus points to choose from, would Pentax consider using a Joystick to speed up selecting a focus point?

Pentax has used face detection technology before to help make focusing easier - is that system refined enough to be able to detect eyes and to focus on those?

I'll second the sentiments here on defining the brand.

Also, any hints on medium format lenses would be good!

+1 Especially the primes.

I'd like Ricoh to be a bit more clear about what kind of brand the want to be and what that means for their development goals.
The relatively small bodies, WR etc. are great for outdoor use, hikes and the like. The 100mm macro is a lens worth having a Pentax camera for.

So a choice for small, not too fast primes like a 20 2.8 or a 85 2.0 would make sense (or a newer version of the 77mm). 4.0 zoom lenses would be welcome as well.
If the can't join the big players, better beat them in a particular field.

I'd like to see:
1) a firmware update to the 645Z to add catch-in focus
2) a light ultra wide for the 645, maybe 20mm, f4, no OS
3) firmware updates across all cameras, where possible, to add the depth bracketing of the PK

Will there be an adaptor that would utilize full control of 645 lenses to k mount?

Thanks Adam! I share the same concern - we need true improvement, not marketing fluff. And you can add, this is my personal action AS A CONSUMER, and as the newer generation of Pentax users - I will be loathe to invest in a new camera until the video is fixed - I'm not switching systems, but I'll drag my heels and remain satisfied with my current camera until that issue is improved.

The sync speed likely can't be changed, it's a mechanical shutter specification. You can fake lower ISOs as an 'extended sensitivity', but it won't get you any more detail. Instead, I've seen it suggested that images could be stacked (in post or in-camera) for lower noise. That'd be cool.

I'd like to suggest focus bracketing (for focus stacking in post) and to add on to the calls for eye detect AF. I missed out on a couple of really nice portraiture shots yesterday because I just missed the closest eye. I should've checked and re-shot, but it'd be nice to know AF was on my side.

... and:
4) firmware update to the 645Z to add LCD Night Vision Mode, like on the K-1/70, if possible

I think I'm done...

I would like to see the end of slow poor AF. Why is this so difficult for Ricoh?
