All indications are that it could be available in March/ April 2018 but no date has been announced yet. We will probably know more in early March with an announcement expected at CP+ in Japan.

It is time to deliver lenses Pentax. The year of the primes has passed and we only get a 50 on the horizon. An unfinished 50 is worse than no 50, but no 50, no 85 and no sign of the high spec wideangle puts Pentax in NoNo land. The wait may be over in two weeks, but I don't think we will see more than a single lens and some unspecific announcements for the futuree. For a manufacturer that is not replacing existing high spec lenses, but building a new line of such, more speed would help a lot.

Not sweating, but it feels like a little part of me dies every time I trudge through the News and Rumour threads... I can understand excitement over potential product releases, and even some degree of disappointment if they take a long time or don't meet expectations, but the level of negativity, nay-saying and complaining is simply ludicrous at times Heaven forbid we should crack on and enjoy our hobby...

At least it gives lots of entertaining reading.
Or am I being cynical?
If we get bored here, there's always the K-1II speculation thread......

It is sort of like watching a really bad horror movie. It is so bad you really should walk away and do something productive but you keep getting sucked back in to watch a little more.

I feel that way about "24". They use every cheap trick in the book, the timeline provided doesn't make any sense. They use impossible to believe plot twists. People run around seconds after receiving critical injuries. But sometimes I have to watch. Right now, half way through the current season, it's just too dumb to watch, but I'm sure I'll go back to it once the build up of "this is way too incredibly stupid" wears off a bit.

Its the opposite of a show that's good to binge watch. You need a week to forget how stupid the last episode was.

Maybe that's why I come to this thread once a week.

I had to quit watching that. It was seriously affecting me. I walked away cold turkey and never looked back. I'm starting to wonder if I need to do that here..............

Those who talk know nothing, those who know don't talk.
