I would be less rude in your place. Who knows, maybe people would remember these posts when the lens will be announced.
If we look at other manufacturers' top-range 50mm-ish lenses:
- Canon has only the aging 50mm f/1.2 (launch price: 1600$). They're out of this game.
- Leica is obviously on another planet
- Nikon's 58mm, launch price 1700$
- Sigma's new 50mm Art, 950$ but that's a third party
- Sony, 2 lenses (FE and KM/Alpha), 1500$
IMHO there's no way a brand new premium D FA* 50mm f/1.4 could be less than $1000. Sorry, folks, you better start saving up.
By the way, the amount of money a certain individual is willing to pay, and the price of a product are two different things.
