As an Imaging Ambassador for Ricoh Pentax USA, I'm currently testing the new K-1 MkII, and they also sent me the new 50mm F1.4 DFA*. Here are 2 images to take a peek at, saved at 8 X 12, 300 dpi, and Level 10 JPG. These are Unsharpened, FYI. (NOTE, they appear unnaturally dark on the PF website, and the color is off too, sorry).
So - you can do what we can't - pixel peep these images - what do you reckon on the lens at high res?

thanks very much for the images btw - very nice

this is clearly a very high resolution optic, and it focuses quite quickly, far faster than the 55mm/1.4. Much heavier too, but an outstanding lens!

Excellent images, thanks for sharing that with the rest of us !
Did you have a chance to test the image quality in the f/1.4-f/2.8 aperture range ? So far I have seen images taken at f/8-f/11 and am curious about the wide-open/near wide-open image quality...
Cheers !

Hi Kerrick, Could you give your impression of the color fidelity of the Accelerator Unit compared to the K-1?

TIA.

Approx 830g, so similar to sigma art but lighter than Zeiss Milvus and Otus.
It’s making my 43ltd feel inadequate

The Zeiss Planar T* FE 50mm F1.4 weighs 778 so hopefully the optics will be equal or better.
The ZEISS Milvus 50mm f/1.4 ZE weighs 922.
