Maybe we will see the 85mm lens this year. Who knows......

On price.... I was thinking 2499 euro.....
Bargain if it is going toe to toe with the Zeiss OTUS 1.4/85 , You must remember that Pentax have and should do now, regard themselves as being a premium optic manufacturer and have gone after and bettered Zeiss in the past. It is just that until recently their design philosophy has been to make smaller more discrete designs which bring a different set of compromises. It looks that under Ricoh, that the designers have been told to go for all out optical brilliance and not be constrained by size restrictions in the D FA* line which follows the previous FA* and A* series. So high resolution, high contrast (something I believe that some of the Sigma designs are weaker with) and smooth OOF rendering are the name of the game now. With these new design goals, size will increase and probably price. €2,499 might be a bit high but the OTUS 1.4/85 is in the region of €4,000 so perhaps...

So this new DFA* 50 1.4 is marketed for cappucino users, while the old FA 50 1.4 was more for espresso people?
Or do I still not get it?

Wouldn't mind stabilization on a coffee cup. Active noise control is available, active wave control still missing, for my cups.

That wouldn't be the Pentax way. You'll need in-body SR.

Or in this case, in coffee table SR.

Does what you did on a 70-200 zoom help with what you have to do on a 50 prime. My guess is going to be no. I mean you are already a lens designer, so you have the basic skill set. My guess is a 50 prime presents a different set of problems than a 70-200 zoom. But maybe some lens designer will correct me.
You're right, but Saori has done primes in the past ... the DA21 and DA70 Limiteds.

A 50mm is about the closest of the traditional primes to the registration distance of DSLRs so needs the least amount of corrections.
