They said the 50mm f/1.4 will be released "this fiscal year" (not this calendar year, not this summer), and that there isn't any set date for the 85 - which means, it's the next fiscal year. We should get some firm dates at CP+.

I'm not being pessimistic, nor am I chasing away users. I firmly believe those lenses will definitely be announced. I firmly believe those lenses will be very, very good and worth the wait.
But if you won't believe Ricoh Imaging themselves, there's nothing I can do.
You are making assumptions and passing them of as truths. Then you are attacking me for not agreeing with you. This is intolerable behaviour.

It's possible that the 50 is in target end of this year and 85 spring/summer next year.

Wow! What exactly from what I posted is "intolerable behavior"?
You're the one doing the attacking and making assumptions; what I offered was information from Ricoh Imaging.

Yes, and it's ending on 31st of March. Within this timeline they should announce the D FA* 50mm f/1.4.

Yeah be that way. I disagree with your interpretation you are passing of as thruth. I am just saying what I expect. You are trying to force your version onto me by saying I am unreasonable while from nothing Ricoh have said the appearance of two lenses this year can be excluded. They said they havenīt set a date. During the fiscal year 2017 is also not a date.

Pentax, Ricoh, or whichever permutation of our supplier...

I am betting on a August/September tease, a November/December order, or Based on the "fiscal year" blurb, a Feb launch. Pentax has these things in their DNA. I agree with your point.

I would be happy if the Tamron 85 1.8 became available in K-Mount and I wouldn't mind if it were Pentax in a rebadged Tamron.

Ricoh (asahi man, kenspo, et. al.) have been quiet even for them recently. After the 70~210 disappointment I suspect we won't hear anything until the final version of either lens is production-ready.

All 3 of the Tamron F/1.8 lenses would be welcome additions to the K-mount line-up. They all have an excellent blend of IQ, size, & cost. They are on par with the FA Limited lenses.

It begins and ends when they need it, for their persuasive purposes.

Yep, 35mm, 45mm and 85mm f1.8 all delivered in one hit - very attractive.

But they are smaller Limited style, rather than bigger *, lenses.

My two sort of uneducated cents; the FA35 and FA43's being available today makes me think that the Tamron 35 and 45 1.8's are really not required. I think the 85 1.8 would make sense in today's k-mount land. That lens and something hot in the 20's would be where I would have targeted Pentax engineering firepower. D-FA*24 f2.0 anyone?
