Make sure your camera is set to RAW and use the DNG format. Its been a long time since for me with KStars but your DNG file should be fine with any viewer or photo editor.

Cured the issue without intending to.

I was playing around and for some reason decided to load onto the Astroberry the "ImageMagick" package so I could do some editing locally on the Raspberry Pi of images. After loading this, all strange colour casts disappeared from the captured images. Therefore I can only assume that loading ImageMagick updated or changed in some way a library file used to create/decode images and the problem was solved.
