You are aware of certain restrictions certain employees have on the freedom with which they discuss internal management politics and future plans with the public before due time, right?

Some may even consider what Lance has posted internal leak of info, and heads could roll, i hope they dont.

Ben, your sponsorship with Pentax France (not Pentax) was not dropped due to "alleged NDA postings" in the Popular Photography forum. Instead, the complaint from Popular Photography focused on your use, while claiming Pentex sponsorship, of the Popular Photography forum as an advertising medium, which is a violation of the terms of service of most forums including that of Popular Photography, and more specifically your protracted arguments with Jack Howard (forum adminstrator) regarding that.

And that one incident was not solely the reason for your sponsorship being dropped. Instead, it was the straw which broke the camel's back following earlier complaints of false or misleading information (announced product release dates which never materialized, etc), comments made against members of a certain nationality, misrepresentation (claiming Pentax versus Pentax France sponsorship, etc), disputes with Pentax and non-Pentax users of various forums, and more.

Some also questioned whether you were, at the time, worthy of (known or engaged in business enough to warrant) continued sponsorship, though that was perhaps a wash with supporters on both sides.

Yes..and everyone claiming to know something have been attacked by the dogs. Best ignored. It is just a fact of life...
In the 90's I was attacked by the dog(s) for stating that the next Limited lens was going to a 77/1.8 lens. It was labeled as the most silly lie ever; surely I could have made up something better.
And of course the pro camera below (sadly never to be released), leaked by me was a figment of my imagination.
In the 90's I had contacts....

I also have see it some years ago and what a fantastic LIMITED camera .

I think the problem was that Pentax lost at that time to much market and principal the top end market for Canon, Nikon and also Minolta.

So it will be risky put that camera in the market.

its strange, because this MZ-1 more closely resembles the LX, while Pentax's first DSLR prototype (also not released likely for the same reasons) was more closely related (actually nearly identical) to the MZ-S.

I think not much only the diferent layout.

For me the MZ1 is a better layout than MZ-S and have a LIMITED style , i like a lot this layout because i have a MX, LX, MZ-M, M-5n and for me are the best layout for cameras.

In the near future i love to see the new LIMITED DSLR camera like this MZ-1

It´s the same layout as the other MZ-M, MZ-5, MZ-5n and MZ-3 series and the MZ-S only came some years later after this MZ-1 prototype.

Regarding the price on ebay the last one i see and nobody buy it and was aroud 200£.

And for me film cameras have more value that digital ones.

The MZ-1 should have been the film cam above the MZ-S. In the same Pro league as Z-1P. But digital got in the way, and the MZ-1 was cancelled
