Think longer term - as Ricoh does

The K-1 and the expensive D FA lenses, including D FA* primes planned for release. "Studying" a new APS-C flagship.

It is high value added, not high end. (They never promised high end products.)
I think KP is a high value added product. It is an excellent DSLR.

The next promised high end product is the D FA* 50mm f/1.4; after which, there will be a D FA* 85mm f/1.4.

My Optio W10 was a quite interesting camera 11 years ago, I got quite a few comments when I swam around with what didn't look like the sturdy camera it was (and is - it still works!).

This, however, is just boring.

As someone who's been finding the Q system really useful,
(took a hundred shots on my Q's today),
I'm reserving my optimism for when that Telephoto Macro is announced.

Well no doom or gloom from me. This is a camera that still has some market to make sales. Not much effort in it, but there are always people going on a snorkle holiday every year for the first time. They don't want to invest to much. This can bring home that nice snap from somewhere under water and give a nice memory.

Second thing is that Ricoh in every quarterly financial report makes a note of a new product in the camera business. So maybe this is the one to be in that book for this quarter ending in two week's.
