So it will be hitting the markets soon. Likely end of august or first half of september. Live streaming to facebook or twitter will probably be a big it if it works alright.

The chip seems to be a Qualcomm apo5063 but maybe it's apq

Cool! The last version of the theta was pretty darn good, this is going to be nice.

Please let the Theta V be 4K and come sooner rather then later. I'm choosing between getting a used Theta S at 60% discount or wait for the Theta V. If it lacks 4K i will definitely go for the Theta S.

There is no point in a new Theta if it doesn't have 4k. The V will have 4k

Ricoh Japan's Facebook page is showing Theta events scheduled for September 3 in Tokyo and September 9 in Osaka. The post shows an image of a grey, unreleased Theta, which is presumably the Theta V. I think it's almost certain the Theta V will be released this week or next. The Osaka event on the 9th will be at the new Ricoh Imaging Square Osaka on it's opening day.
