But it does reveal signs of life within the Pentax dept of Ricoh. Always good to have confirmation of that.
Quite so

Gah! I already have a silver FA31 and FA77.

If I buy it, my wife will probably file for divorce.

So, I really need to think about this.

Find a different wife

I'm not a collector so I don't know, but doesn't the silver model come out towards the end of the camera life cycle? How often after the silver edition do we see new models? What was the story of the prestige edition in the dark gray? Was that just a one time deal or will we see more of these?

Think about it this way. You will be broke after the buy that you wont have to pay for alimony.

One of the APSc flagship (K-5?) was released in a special limited edition silver, then in another special edition - which did elicit some grumbling.

Oh dear. I have a silver 43 and a 77, and three FA* lenses. This might get expensive. No photos yet, from what I could find.

Depends if it is actually made of silver or not...

The answer is that it is a bad price for you, but maybe a fine price for someone else.

It's neither good, nor bad for me, because I don't care about K-1

I hate this kind of thing.... but if I had the money for a Silver K-1 and 31 and 77 I'd probably go for it. I don't know why. Probably because it's going to look like my first pentad, an SV, and it could very well be my last. Shouldn't your first and last cameras look like each other? I think it's illegal to do otherwise in Canada.

Although, all my SMC Taks were black not Silver, oh well, let's call the whole thing off.

I believe that Brian (dcshooter) will be seeing a lot of lenses heading his way for the "Silver Works" treatment with many lettering options available for that special occasion.

I keep a silver KP and a black K-1 so I'm set, whether dinner is served at 10:00 or 12:00.
