PENTAX K-1 Limited Silver released

I know... an early "congratulations" present to myself for paying off my student loans (finally) which damn near ends up being the same amount of $. That's it!

Anyway it won't help with rather poor K-1 sales despite all that hype in first 5-6 months. Main competitor D810 will enjoy lower price as soon as D850 arrive and that will be last coffin nail for K-1.

Rocoh, rather give us proper K3 replacement and missing fast prime lenses or you will be faced with even lower market share than last year..

I won't buy it unless they issue 55 1.8 that looks like the one that was on my SV.

Did the K-1 cause a drop in market share? Why wasn't I told?

Maybe I too should start telling Pentax what they should do in posts they won't read on a website that is published in a different language than they speak.

Just thinking about market share though, maybe they can get branded by Honeywell and Sears again...

The K-1 (like other Pentax top end cameras) comes with a black painted hotshoe.

I guess that would look a bit daft on a silver body so maybe it will be left bare metal.

Honeywell has its own problems now. That is not going to happen.

The fact that it did take that long in no way means, it had too. Maybe they just thought of it last week.

The D850 is likely to be priced wayyyy higher than the D810 ever was. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for D810 prices to plummet.

That's a product life cycle extension which fills the void and buys time to develop other new camera models in the background.
The resources for lenses has nothing to do with resources for new camera designs. New lenses and new camera bodies don't need to be released at the same time.
