What a lovely sight! - almost makes me regret not getting one -interested that the packaging is in English - I suppose that the run was too small to do more than one version.

I have had 100% success purchasing absolutely mint decades-old equipment out of Japan. They really respect their cameras. As a result, we can look forward to having a great supply of these silver K-1s in the future, when the carbon fiber K-1 mk9 250mpx monster is all the rage, and K-1s are priced like Spotmatics. Oh, that I live that long....

You will miss may wonderful photographs waiting for a Silver K1 to come onto the second hand market. And I think the silver finish is exactly a match for the 31/43/77, this camera stands out as a major advance in DSLR tech, and I have no regrets in buying one as you pay only a small premium against the black model ( add up 1 x k1 + batt grip and 1 genuine battery )
Here is the proof.

they still seem to be sloshing around the UK and US - srs and Wex have stock in the UK, B&H are awaiting stock and Andorama have stock as far as I can see - I'd be interested to know how they've gone in Japan

I like the strap. Is that the stock one? Chestnut brown. The K3 Prestige edition was allocated a very wide dark brown strap. Clumsily big and stiff for me so didn't package up very small when stowing in bags. I like the slimmer style.
