Why on earth didn't they put them with silver colored sides like on K-3s ???

I'm not a fan of the silver and I'm just OCD enough that my lenses need to match the body. Its one of the thing I hate about the Sony and Canon premium long glass. I don't like the white lenses on the black bodies. I thought the Prestige K-3 was the best looking of the bodies, but again it doesn't match my D-FA* 70-200mm so its a no go.

Hopefully this means we will see a K-1 replacement sooner rather than later.

Regarding your SIQ, what's the resolution and high-ISO performance like? Is it better than MIQ*?

I don't know about high ISO, but I have high IQ and I've made many a resolution.

Actually, I prefer the silver edition of the K-3 (looks wise) to the new K-1 silver combo... Mainly because of the grip, which has less black and more silver - especially the grip's black inserts

It looks more balanced, IMHO...

Honestly, though... the K-1 silver is still a fine-looking camera, and what matters is (a) performance, and - much further down the priority list - (b) personal taste
