So.. if they're bringing reducers to Q's.. Is there hope to get a medium format to FF reducer? There'd be a few things I'd like to try with one..

I checked, and the rear element of each of my old Pentax primes {M42-KA} enters the mount as it focuses to infinity. I guess the usefulness of this device would depend on exactly how much clearance they're able to provide.

All my Takumars are good...17/28/55/105/135/150/200/300....its the 50 f1.4 specifically causing problems.(i dont own it,but have the M model.)

Maybe that means that a K to M43 Speed Booster will be in the pipeline too...
That's what I'm hoping for. Even Zhong Yi doesn't make a Lens Turbo for K -> m4/3, only for E-mount (I guess the 1.25mm longer flange focal distance causes problems?). That means the only option right now for K -> m4/3 focal reducers is questionable off-brands from eBay.

I would very much like to use my Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 on my GH5.

An option to speedboost K mounts is to put an EF ring on and use a Canon SB/FR.

The difficult part is getting it off.

The real questions are; Do Metabones know something? Is new Q coming?

I would love to try that adapter with my 70-200 2.8 lens. Or my 85mm 1.4 .

I think that they just wanted the record for the fastest optic and saw the Q as a means of getting there.

R&D is pricey for dying mount.

This reads like an April Fools joke made several months too late.

1. I can't believe the amount of negative comments about this. Stay at home and don't buy it, I wish you'd keep your trash talk away from here please.
2. I'm getting one as soon as the K-mount version comes out.

Who knows, maybe they are Q users who just wanted something like this.

I am hoping that this will turn out to be some kind of feedback situation - new users see what Metabones apparently sees, causing Pentax to take new look at Q family and therefore release Q-s2 {Q-s1 + evf]
