Non-digital SLR from Pentax?

On Facebook Pentax just invited people to their booth on Photoplus. They are going to show "DSLR and SLR". So, non-digital SLR? Like, 35mm film? Or maybe 645?

[edit] in original post "and SLR" was removed, but you can check post history on FB.

In the link embedded in your post it says "a variety of DSLR cameras". So it is quite obvious that there's no film cameras there.

If Pentax were to bring back a film SLR, I wonder what kind of functionality it would have?

Manual Focus, like the K1000 or LX?

AutoFocus, like the PZ-1 or MZ-S?

It's edited now. It was "a variety od DSLR and SLR"...
There was e en someone's else's comment about it, just now it's gone.
Hard do say if they are realy going to show something or it was just typo. But some sources was saying they will show something we are not expecting... I wasn't expecting this for sure.

The new Pentax 645ZDF
Comes with 100MP digital FF & 120mm/220mm film backs.
100mp, Full Frame 120mm sensor, ISO 25 to ISO 1 million, Flash sync 1/500th.

OK OK, I totally made that up... would be cool though, heh.

It's a series of historical Pentax and Zenit SLRs as first token of the recently concluded Ricoh Imaging - KMZ partnership, which is otherwise centred on the development, production and sale of a mirrorless camera with a new mount, KMZ assisting Ricoh Imaging in developing additional lenses to make the new ecosystem more attractive and in selling the camera and its lenses on the Russian market.

Sadly, not news nor rumor...the OP seems to have misread the Facebook post. Either that or the it was edited.

No film cameras, no collaboration with KMZ (the rumor that will not die), no medium format with swappable backs...no nothing...nothing to see here...

It's pretty sad how they continue to insist focusing on the Theta and not even have the courage, to not say another thing, to mention the K1 and the K70..
Probably that Miku Hatsune version will be the star of Ricoh's show..

Hey, don't be hating on the Theta :P That's stuff of the future.

Anyway, we all know it's not going to happen, but I wonder if they're would be interest in a resurrection of the K1000. Not many new choices out there!

If any Pentax film camera could be resurrected, it would be the K1000. The machinery from the Hong Kong run is possibly still floating around in China somewhere; and with modern developments in tough-as-nails plastics since the last official K1000 came out, even a cheap version could be more than acceptable. If nothing else, it would prolong the survival of K-series cameras until well into the future.

Seems like that would be pretty awkward, though. It would be the only camera with a non-crippled K-mount.

I thought they couldn't get the electronics for the needle actuator anymore, too.

IIRC, the last run of K1000's were already metal-look plastic topped. Some time after the K1000SE I think?

I think some 3rd parties were still cranking out K mount clones towards the end... Seagull, Vivitar, etc.

The post was edited; you can see the edit history and the original post said: "Who's ready for #PhotoPlus Expo and also #NYVR?!?!? We will be exhibiting at both #PhotoPlus and #NYVR. On display we will showcasing the all new Ricoh Theta V, and also a variety of DSLR and SLR cameras. We will be hosting several different seminars at our booth for #PhotoPlus. Make sure to stop by booth #845. #pentax #teamricohimaging #ricoh."

The "and SLR" part was removed.
