Well I have a slightly different take on it 11-18WR, 20-40 WR, 55 WR and 55-300 WR with a good Pentax APS-C body = a particularly useful and reasonably light weight travel kit
I have previously owned the DA*16-50 WR and it is a very nice lens, but heavy enough for dragging around the world - I swapped it out for the 20-40.
This new Pentax DA*11-18/2.8 is going to be a really interesting lens in the marketplace. In APS-C there is not much that is similar.
Leica have a very nice little 11-23mm in TL mount but it is variable aperture f3.5-f4.5, then there are the Sigmas and Tokina's previously mentioned on this thread.
I consider it very good news that Pentax are releasing this lens, and that it is constant aperture, and WR. It provides a very nice UWA zoom for Pentax, and will compliment the DA Limited primes very nicely.
